Amanda Whitaker

Amanda Whitaker is one of Britain's most successful female racing drivers.

She is 35 years old and in her 20 year racing career she has achieved:

3 consecutive National Single Seater Championship titles
Over 50 race wins
Multiple circuit lap records. More than 10 years after achieving them, she still holds 4 Monoposto lap records!
• The 2006 European Formula Atlantic Championship title
• Top points scorer overall in 2006 European F2 Championship
• 2nd in the 2009 HSCC Historic Formula Ford 1600 British Championship
• Three BWRDC championship titles in 2009 (Goodwin, Hillwood Jewellers Coupe des Dames and Monoposto Trophies)

She is currently a performance driving instructor having worked throughout the UK, Europe & USA for most major car manufacturers & racing schools.

She is also a precision driver & has appeared in many TV adverts & makes celebrity appearances at shows.

In 2010 she plans to race in selected rounds of both the North West and Scottish Formula Ford 1600 Championships.

She lives in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham with her fiancé and fellow racing driver Anthony Dunn and also keeps various Australian birds as a hobby!
