First Year of Competitionaround 1990
Why did you start?Husband John started racing in our Lotus 7 S2, and the next year I shared the car with him.  Cars have always been in my and his families, especially Lotus.  Now race my Lancia Beta - as seen in Classics Monthly, Feb 2007
Previous Championships/ Competitionsstarted in HSCC 70s Roadsports in the 7 and HSCC Historic Formula Ford, sharing our Lotus 61 FF
Where am I racing now with the Classic Sports Car Club of course in the Swinging 60s Series and also in our son's MG Maestro in the Tin Tops races.  The races are all 30min quali, 40 minute races with a pit stop so drivers can share as well.  I will also be sharing my husband's single seaters - a Crossle 14F (twin cam engine) and our Lotus 18 Formula Junior
Best Race / Drive and why? Castle Combe 3 years ago in the Lancia - an excellent dice with Guy in his Lancia Fulvia (which I won); and in the Lotus 7 at Spa in 2002 - LOVE that circuit - in fact a monsoon race at Rockingham when I overtook a lot of beefy cars was also good!
Worst Race / Drive and why? Spa 2004 when I got nudged in the Seven at Les Combes and lost all confidence - thought I had got it wrong and came in early - only to find yellow paint all over the rear of the car (he later apologised!)
Favourite Circuit/Venue HAS to be Spa
Types of cars competed / owned Lotus 7 S2; Lotus 61FF; Lotus 18FJ; Crossle 14F; Lancia Beta Coupe; MG Maestro; looking forward to our son's Reliant Scimitar in 2007
Best car driven / owned Porsche Carrera 4 when I used to instruct for Porsche GB and RMA
Other plans for this year/next year Drive the CSCC into the limelight as an organising Club and help it to stand firmly on its own feet financially, and to enjoy racing at Spa, Nurburgring and Daytona this season!
