Why did you start? In the blood! Grew up around Motorsport - Dad (John) 3 x MG Car Club MGF Champion, Mum (Pauline) 2 x MG Car Club Ladies Speed Champion and Brother (Peter) also an MG Race Champion.
Previous Championships/ Competitions Formula Woman Novice Championship 2006
MG Speed Championship 2006
Previous Achievements Being one of only 16 women selected from over 10,000 applicants to race in the Formula Woman Championship in 2006
Best Race / Drive and why? FW - Snetterton 24th September 2006 A race that didn’t start well! Qualified 2nd on the grid but got a dreadful start off the line, was pushed onto the grass on the 1st lap and dropped to 9th. Then had an exhilarating battle through the field and finished in 3rd to have my first podium of the championship!
Worst Race / Drive and why? I seem to have mix fortune races! FW Mallory Park 13th August 2006 Started the day well with an excellent qualifying session to start on pole. Dropped a couple of places in the first lap and gained some of them back again by the 4th lap but as I tried to regain 1st position was punted off at Gerrards into the Armco...A crumpled Caterham and a loss in valuable points for the Championship!
Favourite Circuit/Venue Snetterton great fun when using a tow off another Caterham!
Donnington Park haven’t raced there yet but had a really enjoyable track day in 05!
Types of cars competed / owned Caterham Roadsport 7, MGZR 105
Best car driven / owned Caterham Roadsport
Funny Stories Formula Woman Pembrey was submitted to the Guiness Book of Records for the most women drivers in one event - the circuit staff were bemused by the number of drivers with long blonde hair, they had to purchase an emergency supply of cereals and fruit!
