Why did you start in motorsport?
My husband started racing in 2005 and I was quite happy
going to watch and be supportive. However, when he had to complete a two
driver race himself (his co driver having broken his ankle) I decided
to get my licence to share drives with him. I passed my ARDS test in April
2006 and he decided if I was going to drive his car I would need experience
so bought me my first race car, a Rover Metro 1.4 Ta. (picture attached
showing both me and the metro in the pit lane at Donnington Park in May
2006 before our first race together).
Previous Championship / Competitions
2006 MGCC Total Butler Championship
Previous Achievements
2006 MGCC Total Butler Championship Class AB Novice award
2007 Took my first ever class pole at Silverstone National on 31 March
Favourite venue
My favourite circuits are the International circuit
at Silverstone and Croft.
Best race
Donnington Park May 2006. This was my first race and it
rained between qualifying and the race. I managed to finish fourth in
class when more experienced drivers were ending up in the gravel traps.
Cars owned
Metro 1.4 Ta
MGF 1.8 VVC
Current championship
In my second race season, I am currently competing
in the MGCC Cockshoot Cup in my husband's MGF.
Future plans
To continue to enjoy motorsport and to hopefully
get my first class win.
