I had always been interested in motorsport and my first few cars were Minis so once I had organized a day at a local rallyschool for my colleagues I decided to buy a car and started road rallying progressing to stage rallying a couple of years later

After several years of campaigning my trust Austin Mini Cooper NYB 3E on the gravel and tarmac of the BHRC I have decided to do just tarmac events this year and the car, still in historic spec is holding its own against the moderns on the Welsh events.

Epynt (hope I won’t regret saying this!)

Tour of Flanders 2005 when the steering broke on the first corner of the first stage and we hit a road sign and ended up in a turnip field. Having gone all that way we’d rallied less than a mile and had a bent car to sort out, but the beer and chocolate helped take our minds off it.
