Formula Kart Stars Championship Director and longtime BWRDC member, Carolynn Hoy has scooped the BWRDC’s premier award – the Lord Wakefield Trophy, for her lifelong services to motorsport.

At 11am on Friday 13th January, the Motor Sport Association (MSA) Stand at Autosport International was buzzing with excitement as a host of members of the British Women Racing Drivers’ Club lined-up next to MSA CEO, Colin Hilton for a photocall and presentations of the 2012 GoldStars by the legendary John Surtees OBE.

The BWRDC is delighted to announce the nominations for the 2012 BWRDC GoldStars Awards - Elite and Club categories. Many of the twelve nominees rank among the fastest and most successful female motorsport competitiors in the UK and Europe: representing karting, circuit racing, rally drivers, co-drivers, and hill climb competitors; several claiming championships at national and international level as their rewards.
